Industrial Engine and Compressor Technician

Basic Job Description: Technician to perform field installation of RAS ( FloBoss) Products in the Natural Gas Industry.

Primary Job Location: Monessen, PA

Position: Industrial Engine and Compressor Technician for the Oil & Gas Industry with additional responsibility with Remote Automation Systems.

Basic Job Description: Technician will be able to Install, Program, Service and Trouble Shoot FW Murphy ( and Leading Brand Related ) end devices on gas Reciprocating Engines and Compressors, Power View Controllers, Power Ignition systems and Air Fuel Ratio Controllers. Field experience in working with Industrial Engines and Compressor in the Oil & Natural Gas industries is preferred.
In addition to compressor maintenance the Technician will be required to assist in field installation of RAS (Remote Automation Systems) FloBoss products which measures natural gas flow at remote well sites. The RAS work in primarily Western Pa and WV.
The Technician will cover the North East Territory therefore some overnight travel will be necessary.

Education: 5 to 10 years experience in the related field is preferred. 4 yr College Degree or Tech School Related Training

Job Requirements:
1. Work tasks will be both in and out of doors year round.
2. Over-night travel and stays will be required.
3. Over time and weekend shifts may be required.
4. Valid Drivers license.
5. Ability to train and motivate others
6. Ability to expand the sale of products

Skill Sets Required:
1. Must be mechanically inclined. Must be able to use hand and power tools, including drills, saws, shovels, picks, wrenches, tube benders and tube cutters.
2. Must understand instrumentation and be able to read blueprints.
3. Must understand and be able to perform minor electrical work. Work to include 110VAC and 24VDC circuits. Ability to work with electrical conduit and fittings a plus.
4. Must be computer literate. Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
5. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
6. Must be personable and willing to interact with gas industry customers on a professional basis.
7. Must be self motivated and willing to work individually or as a team member.

Salary: Commensurate with industry and personal qualifications
